Our forum KJOKL (which means "chat" in Norn) is a place to discuss Norn, its linguistic aspects and relations to other languages. The members are kindly asked to keep the forum free of topics that are not directly related to its main subject matter. If you are interested in discussing other non-linguistic matters in connection with Orkney or Shetland, check out our Links section where you will find references to other discussion groups that might be more convenient for you.
Registration of a new member of the forum requires a special confirmation, which is normally done by following instructions sent to the e-mail address you provided upon the registration process. In case you have not received such an email within an hour (which can mean it did not get through spam filters on the way to you), do not hesitate to contact the forum's admin asking them to confirm your membership.
NYNORN DEVELOPERS WANTED!! People who have a knowledge of such languages as Old Norse, Faroese and Icelandic (Norwegian, Danish or Swedish won't harm either) and are interested in the reconstruction of Norn are cordially invited to join the Nynorn project - feel free to post your introductions, ideas and thoughts in the respective sections of Kjokl.
